Texans win two in Colorado

The South Plains College men’s basketball
team remained unbeaten by posting a pair of victories at the
Trinidad Classic in Colorado.
The Texans started the tournament with an
86-59 victory against the host, Trinidad State Junior College,
on Nov. 3.
SPC was only leading 39-35 at halftime,
but managed to outscore the Trojans, 47-24 in the second half.
Sophomore Steven Harley led the Texans
with 27 points. Fellow sophomore Jermaine Bolden and freshman
Nick Okorie both added 19.
Joining Harley, Constantin Motnii and
Jonathan Hall each had seven rebounds.
The following day, the Texans beat Otero
Junior College 71-60. Hall and Harley each scored 14 points
while Okorie added 11.
