Following a season with 24 wins, the South Plains College
men’s basketball team looks to build on that success as they
begin the 2006-2007 campaign.
The Texans advanced to the semifinals of
the Region V Tournament in 2006, finishing with a 24-6 record
overall.

was honored recently for her outstanding achievements in track
and field, and cross country competitions.

The South Plains College women’s basketball team got its
season off to an impressive start with three consecutive
victories, the Breakfast Rotary Tournament in Levelland.
In their first game, the Lady Texans
never lost their lead in the game and ran away to a 76-46
victory against Colby College at the Texan Dome.
