Motivated SPC student pursues excellence

by Hylann Camacho, editorial assistant

College is a very confusing and difficult time in one’s life.

Jason Hartline is a good role model to keep college students motivated to accomplish their goals. He was born in Lubbock and grew up in Muleshoe. He attended school in Muleshoe from the time he was in elementary school until his junior year of high school, before finishing his high school career at the University of Texas High School, an interactive online home school program.

by Laura Cain, co-feature editor

Taking horticulture field trips and growing plants with his students are what keep Ron Presley teaching.

He has more that just the ability to teach, but a strong passion for agriculture and learning as well. Presley is an associate professor of agriculture at South Plains College.
