'Max Payne' deemed thrilling, action-packed adventure

 “Max Payne” is a thrilling, action-packed adventure about a man seeking the answers to his family's murder.

 Mark Wahlberg stars as the title character. After his wife and his newborn child are found brutally murdered, DEA agent Max Payne begins to investigate their murders. While at a party, Max meets sisters Natasha and Mona Sax. Mona will eventually become Payne's investigating partner.

'Saw V' requires attention, high gore, blood tolerance

 “Saw V”, the fifth chapter in the “Saw” series, is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish, traveling on tracks of gore and suspense.

Going into the movie, I had to remind my friend that while I love scary movies, I am a bit of a wimp, especially when it comes to gory movies such as “Saw.” I’ve always loved scary movies; I just wouldn't want to see them alone.

'The Secret Life of Bees'leaves sweet buzz

She watches her beautiful mother rush around gathering her things, putting them in a travel bag. Suddenly, her father runs into the room and grabs her mother.

Her mother screams and grabs a gun from the closet to defend herself. She sees her daughter sitting there. She drops the gun. The little girl grabs the gun…and fires.

This is how the movie “The Secret Life of Bees” begins.

Ray LaMontagne is a soft-spoken refugee, singing about everything from a forlorn broken heart to the complete joy of true love.

He eloquently captures the dynamics of life in his poetic lyrics and melodies. His unique sound was developed out of a dissonant past.

'At First Sight' leaves few Sparks fans disappointed

'W' depicts president as political monkey
