SPC faculty to take part in NASA program

DeVitt Fine Arts Center dedication set for Nov. 15

South Plains College is in preparation for a  month long celebration in recognition of the renovations of the Christine DeVitt Fine Arts Center and the Helen DeVitt Jones Theatre. The festivities will include art presentations, concerts, performances, and more.

Miss Caprock crowning slated for Nov. 14

Young women representing South Plains College’s clubs and organizations will vie for the crown as the 51st annual Miss Caprock pageant approaches.

The pageant will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the Tom T. Hall Recording and Production  Studio in the Creative Arts Building. The event is hosted by the Office of Student Activities.

Universities to visit SPC for College Day

South Plains College will be hosting the Levelland Area College Day on Nov. 10 in the Sundown Room of the Student Center.

More than 30 colleges and universities will be in attendance from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for students who wish to visit with representatives about transfer opportunities.

Online registration to begin Nov. 11

Current South Plains College students are being presented with the opportunity to register early for the spring 2009 semester.

Online registration begins on Nov. 11. Students will need their SPC username and password that has been automatically setup for all students upon acceptance into SPC.   

Irish ensemble to perform Nov. 13

County Hockley set to perform Nov.13.

Irish tunes and dance steps will be heard throughout the Tom T. Hall Recording and Production Studio later this week.
