Contestants for the annual Miss Caprock pageant demonstrated poise, class, intelligence, and overall grace as they competed for the crown.

Levelland vote gives restaurants right to sell alcoholic beverages

Levelland citizens recently voted to pass the sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants.

Once the issue is certified by the state, restaurants can begin to sell alcohol.

 

Pipe problem floods students out of dorm

Some students who reside at South Plains College’s North Sue Spencer residence hall on the Levelland campus were moved recently when plumbing problems caused the short hall to be temporarily evacuated and closed.

 

Jazz Band, brass ensembles wrap up semester with concert

The South Plains College Fine Arts Department is preparing for a busy holiday season.

The SPC Jazz Band is performing Dec. 5 in the SPC Theater for the Performing Arts, and the Brass Choir, Trombone Quartet, and Percussion Ensemble will be performing Dec. 7.

MySPC to connect students, faculty

Many changes have been made to the South Plains College website recently. Among the new features is MySPC.

 

Online registration for spring underway

Online registration for the spring semester began Nov. 13.

Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor and work on their schedules. A great advantage of signing up for classes is that students can get the classes and times they want.
