Unsolved mysteries hidden in dreams

by Lyndsey Wolf, staff writer

Dreams are more than unconscious thoughts that stream through our minds while we’re sleeping.

They are “windows to the soul,” claims Dr. Charles McPhee, host of the nationally syndicated “Dream Doctor Radio Show.”  Most of us forget our dreams when we open our eyes in the morning. Everyone dreams. When you wake up in the morning, sit there and get in touch with your inner thoughts and emotions.

When you wake up, are you sad, happy mad, stressed? Just take a little extra time when you wake up to lay in bed and try to remember what your dream was about. You will be amazed how great your memory works.

All of us want to unlock the hidden meaning of our dreams. Dreams have always been a mystery since the beginning of time.

You can learn a lot from your dreams if you take the time to think and listen. Many times I have awakened in the morning and remember bits and pieces of dreams that I have had throughout my sleep. I wonder to myself, why did I dream that? It’s so hard to figure out. Sometimes you don’t want to tell people about your dreams because you have actually scared yourself.

It’s funny when you try to tell others about what you dreamed during the night. It never makes any sense to another person, or even to you. You can only tell bits and pieces, and it’s so frustrating to not be able to remember what you dreamed about.

I had a horrible dream the other night. It scared me to death. It had to do with my friends and something terrible happening to them. I was so afraid.

I remember a certain time in particular when I was 12 years old. My grandma is my world. I believe she is an angel sent from Heaven. I had a dream that she died. I woke up crying, with a broken heart. I was scared to even talk about my grandma for two weeks, because I was so afraid that something happened to her or was going to.

I remember that when I saw her I fell into her arms with tears running down my face. I didn’t want anything to happen to this wonderful lady who makes my world go round. I always wanted to know why I dreamed such a terrible dream about her. I never understood why. She always told me that if you dream someone dies it’s not a bad thing and does not mean that something horrible is going to happen.

I just took that and ran, because I didn’t want to think any more about it. According to some experts, Dreams are a communication of body, mind and spirit in a symbolic communicative environmental state of being. If you dream of death it means that. Someone in the family would soon get married, and the wedding would be beautiful.

In some circle, it means a birth, just the opposite of death. If you are unable to identify the dead person, means a windfall of money for you. To talk to a dead relative is a sign of great good luck.

Dreams are amazing and very interesting. They are also an unsolved mystery.
