The play features a veteran cast, with each actor or actress having performed in at least one other show staged previously at SPC. The cast includes:  Brian Benavides as Jacquot; Taylor Attebury as Paul; Nathaniel Herman as Schlegel; Jerred Tochterman as Marco; Annika Jones as Lili; and Mariel Brown as Rosalie.

Also part of the chorus are: Nicole Keeling as Olga; Whitney Wilson as Gladys; Audra Methvin as Gloria; Easton Day as Grobert; Randal Ramirez as Dr. Glass; Leighann Martin as Card Girl; Ramirez, Day, Jack Grist, and Josh Samsel as Roustabouts; Martin, Keeling, Wilson, and Methvin as Blue Bird Girls; and Abby Hinojosa as a chorus member.

“Carnival” is about a young girl whose parents have passed away and she goes in search of an old friend of the family to live with in the carnival. Unfortunately, the old friend is gone as well, so she ends up getting a job with the carnival.

In order to find out what happens to the girl, attend the play to finish the story.

The musical is packed with dancing, singing, and “a love story for the ladies,” according to Gene Cole, assistant professor of theatre arts at SPC.

“ It has a little of something for everyone,” said Cole.

So come join in on all the action, where “ Love makes the world go round” and the carnival is coming to town.
