Leonor Luerra has struggled nearly all her life living in a
country that she never intended to stay in.
Luerra was born in Nuevo Lieon, Mexico in
1946. Shortly after her birth, her parents separated, and
Luerra was raised by her grandparents. She recalls the
happiness she had as a young child and the opportunities that
were given to her through their support.
