"TNL" plans wills tribute

Prepare yourselves for a night of unforgettable entertainment as “Thursday Night Live,” the SPC Creative Arts Department Television Show, slates its premier performance of the Spring semester on March 3.

The show will begin at 7 p. m. in the Tom T Hall Production Recording and Studio.

The show will feature a “Tribute To Bob Wills Music,” along with appearances by several special guests including West Texas Music legends, Kenny Maines of the Maines Brothers Band and the Rex Thomas Band.

Student Performers from the Commercial Music Program include the “Thursday Night Live” Ensemble cast, as well as The South Plains Playboys and the Dixie Dew Drops Western Swing Ensemble.

“TNL is a 90 minute high-energy television show,” said Cary Banks.  “It is our way of saying thank you to the tax-payers of Hockley County for supporting the college.”

The show will be broadcast live on SPC Channel 10 in Levelland, Littlefield and Morton.  The show will also be rebroadcast on Channel 12 in Lubbock at 10 p. m. March 5.

Doors open at 6:30 p. m. for the show, and everyone is invited to be a part of the live studio audience. There is no charge for admission.
