The truth about cats and dogs
by Grayson Thomas, staff writer

“Sit! Shake! Roll over! Bang!” Tricks For Treats is what I call them.

I find it amazingly entertaining that dogs will do anything, and probably look rather stupid, for a crunchy bland dog biscuit.  Honestly, I can’t understand what’s so desirable about Milk Bones that will turn a normal, lazy dog into an acrobat at your command.  I’ve tried them; they’re not at all appetizing.

Since February is Black History Month, I have been pondering several things. The first observation that I’ve made has really bothered me for many years now, and that is that Black History Month is one month out of the year and it’s the shortest month of the year. But many observed that quite some time ago.

The day of truth is Jan. 1, 2006.  That’s when Stern, the king of controversy, will be leaving his five-hour radio show and settling in the new found world of satellite radio.  It’s kind of like when he finally made his change to HBO.

by Chelsea Goldston, staff writer

NinjaXcore more fake fighting than dancing

by Christopher Byram, staff writer

Lubbock is a city that is by no means renowned for its local music scene. Lubbock bands and scene goers tend to follow the latest trends; last year’s pnk rawkers are this year’s hXc nitwits, which were just last month’s Indie Elite.

Don't trash that trail

by Billy Close, staff writer

We all know how nature has been misused and even abused throughout the years. Finers have been pointed at large companies and refineries, blaming them for the loss of what we consider beautiful. While these large corporations do deserve some of the blame, the general public at large also has to answer for the things they do.

by Codi Bullard, staff writer

Last summe Last summer, as I was cleaning out my clothes closet and dresser drawers, I could not help but
