Students to Get 'Sneak Preview' of Campus

Senior Sneak Preview Set for Feb. 24

Most students come to college without ever having experienced how college life can be. South Plains College helps prospective students by holding their annual Senior Sneak Preview every year. The event will be held this year at 9 a.m. on Feb. 24 in the Texan Dome on the Levelland campus.

Deadline for Scholarships Nears

Scholarship programs are split up into four categories. College-Wide Scholarships are open to all qualified students. Program Specific Scholarships apply only to students enrolled in major fields of study. Activity Scholarships are open to students enrolled in specific classes, and Nontraditional Student Scholarships are for students age 25 or older.

 

BSO, MSO Hosting Program in Honor of Black History Month

All South Plains College faculty and students are invited to attend the African History Month program. 

Graduation Applications Due March 1

The deadline for students turning in applications is March 1. For a student to be eligible for graduation, he or she must have completed or will complete degree requirements, but students are urged to see their advisors for verification. He or she must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0 (“C”) or better, and be in good financial standing with the college.

Caution Urged in Construction Zone

Everyone is aware of the construction going on Texas Highway 114 between Lubbock and Levelland.

If you are not, you’re either living under a rock or lucky.  It has been a nuisance to all commuting SPC students since it began in March of 2005, and seems that there is no real end in sight.

But this tired road is a part of what is called “road rehab,” or simply rehabilitation. 

Job Fair Set for March 7

f you are unsure of a possible career or you might be looking for a change, you

might want to attend the South Plains College Job Fair.

The event will be held on March 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sundown Room in the Student Center. Students and area residents are invited to attend the job fair and no admission will be charged.
