by Ray Buffington, entertainment editor

South Plains College Theatre razzles and dazzles the audience again by putting on a fantastic performance of Michael Stewart’s musical “Carnival”. Menacing magicians, cute card girls, and  a few peppery puppets paraded around the stage, telling a tale of love, desire, and comedy that was truly enjoyable.

"Constantine:" Demons, angels battle for souls

by Jacqui Streety, editor-in-chief

“Constantine” is an intricate tale of spirituality and a battle of principalities. It is Heaven and Hell, and all the powers of both, alive on Earth for the sole purpose of winning souls. John Constantine, played by Keanu Reeves, is an exorcist of demons attempting to buy his way to Heaven with each demon that he sends back to Hell. He has been marked by God with the gift of discerning supernatural beings.
