Women reflect loving side of God

by Isa Torres, staff writer

It doesn’t take a lot for me to realize how amazing my life is when I am following God.

There are a lot of things I am thankful for. If God had not provided them, I would probably be somewhere else.

I love the women God has given me. Their gentleness, beauty and spirit encourage and inspire me.

Those things give character to my mother, my girlfriend and my friends. I believe women are the loving side of God.

While reading the book “Feminine Mystique,” I have come to understand how a woman has the capacity to do great things. It did not take a book for me to realize this. But it helped as an assurance that women have a great role in this world.

The movement that women created so that their voices could be heard brought a lot of revolutions, some good and some bad.

Women now are free to pursue their dreams. A woman now can become a lawyer or whatever she wants, and she is free to look for what is going to make her happy.

I think those are really good things that all of us should have. But I also think that women breaking out from a world under men’s rule had an affect that some did not expect.
Sometimes I ask myself if there is such a thing as too much freedom, something such as bad freedom.

I know that we have the freedom to choose God or not. We have the choice to become who we want to be. And all of those decissions will have consequences.

I believe that a woman is someone who can hold a family together. I think a lot more families don’t have that woman now. Forty years ago, the case was probably different. Why is it so hard to be happy in a country where dreams are easier to pursue? Women could not find what made them happy, and now nothing makes us happy.

In my life, I see how the impact of those women who have been so present has helped me to become something better. I want to make my mother proud. I want to provide for the woman who I will marry, and I want to be the best I can be.

Women are wise. They are lovely, and I don’t know what men would do without them.
God created women to show his love. Who loves more than a mother? Who is more beautiful than a bride?

Men are sometimes blinded by the looks of a woman. They don’t see beyond that. But there also are women who will let themselves be a sexual object. That is not being clever. That is not being beautiful.

A woman who uses her sexuality to get what she wants is not someone who deserves the love of a man who is willing to give his life for her. Instead, that woman who has a dream and a will to be the best that she can is the one who deserves the love of a true man.
If you have potential, then use that potential. If you want to be loved, then truly love.

Women are strong people who usually see beyond flesh, but that could change if they become more like men. Then what are we going to do?
