You may not take the CLEP test if you have ever been enrolled, completed with a passing or failing grade, or enrolled and withdrawn in the course you are trying to CLEP.
Students interested should not have attempted the class they wish to CLEP out of. If they received a Drop Pass or Drop Fail for a particular class, they need to have done so within the first 12th class day in the Fall Semester or before the fourth class day of the Summer Sessions.
If dropped within these time frames, the attempted class will not appear on the student's transcript, thus allowing the student to receive CLEP credit.
Students will receive an unofficial copy of their Score Report at the Testing Center. The score shown is not on a 100 scale nor considered a letter grade. The CLEP Subject Examination chart in the SPC General Catalog (p. 28) shows the minimum score required to CLEP a course. In some cases, when more than one course is combined in one test; the higher score will determine the number of credits given per course.
You must wait 6 months from your testing date in order to retake the CLEP.
