The TEAS (Nursing Entrance Exam) is the first step to be admitted to the Associate Degree Nursing Program at the Plainview Campus.

Currently this test is only for those applicants applying for the Transition Program

(Current LVN's who are interested in becoming RN's)

The Nursing Department strongly advises that student's

complete the following pre-requisites before testing:

Engl-1301

Psyc-2301

Chem-1406

Biol-2401

A list of ALL pre-requisites can be found in the SPC catalog,

or you may consult your program advisor listed at the top of the page.

Registration is done through the Testing Office located on the Levelland Campus

in the Student Services Building. (806) 894-9611, ext. 2530

Cost is $30.00 payable at the time of registration.

Associate Degree Nursing Testing Information

The computer tests consists of:

Reading - 40 questions / 50 minutes

Math - 45 questions / 56 minutes

Science - 30 questions / 38 minutes

Retest date available to Reading & Math sections only

Calculators are NOT permitted on this test

In order to fill out an application for the ADN Program,

you must make 80% on Reading section on this test

If you do not make an 80%, please register for a retest date.

You must make an 85% on the MATH section

in order to be exempt from taking the Nursing MATH course.
