HOMECOMING HONORS – Students at South Plains College selected Cody “Bear” Neighbors of Brownfield and Mady DeLeon of Tahoka as the 55^th Homecoming King and Queen. Neighbors, a business major, represented Student Government and DeLeon, a Texan cheerleader and nursing major, represented Smallwood Apartments. The crowning ceremony was conducted during halftime of the Lady Texans’ basketball game Thursday (Feb. 21) against Odessa College at the Texan Dome. The contest, which was open to all student organizations, clubs and residence halls, featured nominees from the Baptist Student Ministry – Sydney Pasma/David Rodriguez; Hispanic Student Organization – Rebecca Gonzalez/Dylan Davila; Phi Theta Kappa – Tina Welch/Cullan Howe; Press Club – Ashleigh Wolbrueck/Joshua Harris; SPC Ballroom Dance Team – Adriana Anaya/Jose Hermosillo; SPC Gay Straight Alliance – Casey Stegall; and SPC Student Government – Tasha Clark.
