BMJ. DEAN OF ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS
The Dean of Admissions and Records is responsible for the organization, operation, staffing, supervision, evaluation, and budget of the services provided by the Admissions and Records Office.
Plans and coordinates the admissions and records processes and procedures at all campuses and serves as the Chief Admissions Officer for the institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plans, coordinates, and supervises the admissions, records, and registration procedures of credit programs and courses in accordance with State, Federal, and institutional regulations.
2. Maintains admissions and records of noncredit programs and courses in accordance with State, Federal, and institutional regulations.
3. Coordinates, develops, and implements registration and enrollment policies and procedures in consultation with the Registrar and Deans.
4. Prepares all information required for the completion of credit and noncredit State, Federal, and local reports.
5. Provides accurate data for submission of State and Federal reports dealing with the maintenance of student and course records.
6. Plans, evaluates, and implements the use of various technologies in providing efficient and effective services provided by the Admissions and Records office.
7. Develops and implements the various institutional forms used by the Admissions and Records office.
8. Develops a budget for the Admissions and Records office and administers the budget as approved.
9. Plans and coordinates the class schedules and portions of the college catalog.
10. Coordinates all instructional space for classes and approves/disapproves changes.
11. Plans, coordinates, and implements TASP tracking procedures in accordance with state regulations.
12. Plans, coordinates, and implements the testing and evaluation of electronic transcripts.
13. Plans, organizes, and manages the graduation exercises.
14. Verifies that all graduating students have met prescribed degree or certificate requirements.
15. Verifies and notifies students of admissions and academic eligibility.
16. Coordinates the evaluation of transcripts for transfer student.
17. Directs the admission processes and reviews exceptional admission cases.
18. Serves as the institutions Residency Officer concerning student residency questions.
19. Serves as appointed on the Administrative and Academic Council.
20. Serves on college wide committees including but not limited to Academic, Diversity, and Recruitment Committees, ad hoc member of the Curriculum Committee, and Chair the Admissions Committee.
