BML. DEAN OF STUDENT LIFE

The Dean of Student Life performs those duties as directed by the Vice President for Student Affairs.  The Dean of Student Life is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and administering assigned areas of the Student Affairs division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and direct the Director of Student Activities, the Director of Student Support Services and assigned residential hall staff.

Supervise and direct assigned areas of Student Housing.

Supervise and direct student TSI attendance policies.

Supervise and direct student residential hall programming.

Supervise and direct student residential hall wing advisor training and development.

In conjunction with the Dean of Students and the Associate Dean of Students prepare and supervise the publishing of the “SPC Student Handbook”.

In conjunction with the Dean of Students supervise and prepare budgets for assigned areas of Student Affairs.

Supervise and direct the establishment and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs for assigned areas of Student Affairs.

Supervise and direct assigned areas of student discipline.

Serve on appropriate and assigned committees including but not limited to Student Affairs Council, Disciplinary Appeals Committee, Safety and Health Committee, and Student Life Committee.

Serve as chairperson of the Student Life Committee.

Assist the Dean of Students with the establishment and enforcement of rules and regulations for all students.
