The Welding Technology program at South Plains College is designed to train students in the fundamentals of industrial welding processes with emphasis on layout and design. Specific areas of training include welding processes, welding procedures, blueprint reading, welding metallurgy, plate welding, pipe welding, pipe fitting, plate and pipe layout and fabrication, welding inspection and weld test methods.
