Program Objectives

The Surgical Technology Program provides both didactic and competency-based laboratory and clinical instruction. Students participate in hand-on learning through the use of advanced technology and surgical procedure simulation in the laboratory, followed by clinical experience in the hospital setting. Students gain not only cognitive knowledge and technical skills, but interpersonal skills and multi-cultural understanding which are a vital part of patient care.
