Institutional Plan

The SPC Institutional Plan represents the combined effort of faculty, staff, administrators and regents and represents a process for planning for the future and monitoring progress toward stated institutional goals and objectives. South Plains College has dedicated itself to the vision of improving each student's life. This commitment to students has led the college to embrace a process of continual organizational improvement that is ongoing and involves everyone at the college. It is a process to improve the way the work of the institution is done, to accomplish the goals and objectives of the institution, and to fulfill its mission and vision.

The continuous improvement process is an effort to plan for the future. This involves an evaluation of the present level of accomplishment of established goals and the achievement of desired outcomes. The continued application of this ongoing planning and assessment cycle places South Plains College in a proactive planning posture. As the planning and reporting cycle runs its yearly course, change and improvement are expected. It should be understood that this planning document is intended to define a "process," not become a "product." In this respect, it is not intended to ever be a completed document.

The 2009-2013 Institutional Plan was adopted by the South Plains College Board of Regents September 10, 2009 and will serve as the college community's plan of work for the next four years.
