Katheryn Townsend is currently an Associate Professor of Chemistry at South Plains College.  She is from Sundown, TX where she graduated from High School in 1998.  Katheryn then attended South Plains College and served as a chemistry tutor and stockroom worker.  She was also on the Baptist Student Ministry Leadership Team.  Katheryn graduated from SPC in 2000.  She then transferred to Howard Payne University and served there as a chemistry tutor and stockroom worker.  She graduated from HPU in 2002.  Katheryn then attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2005.  Her career at SPC began in 2001 as an assistant to Tim Werenko and she taught her first class in the 2002 summer session.  She began teaching full-time at SPC in 2004.  Katheryn serves on many committees here at SPC.
