  Steps to Financial Aid

• Students and Parents - File your 2015 Income Tax Return for the 2016-2017 school year
• Wait 3 weeks then follow the steps below (this allows time for the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to be available)
• Complete 2016-2017 FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov
  • Select South Plains College with school code (003611)
  • Use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool
• Check DAILY for emails on the student and parent email accounts provided on the FAFSA
