The Communication department at South Plains College holds three excellent and distinctive programs: Foreign Language, Mass Media Communication and Speech Communication. Our faculty members excel in scholarly work and are outstanding professors, several receiving highest honors with the Faculty Excellence Award. The Communication department offers courses fulfilling requirements for a variety of programs that will transfer to any university. Students will earn the Associate of Arts degree upon completion of their coursework and will acquire greater competence in many areas of communication. These courses and programs ensure students gain awareness of the critical importance of mastering communication skills and adapting to diverse audiences personally and professionally.
