College Aerospace Scholars at NASA (CAS) is a NASA program targeting two-year colleges in Texas.  In 2014, NASA restructured the program to include two-year colleges from the entire USA renaming the program to National Aerospace Scholars (NCAS).

Students apply for acceptance, complete some preliminary work online through a NASA portal, and visit one of the NASA based locations for their 3-day team competition.  SPC has participated in the program since its inception in 2001.

SPC has at least two former CAS participants who are full time NASA employees.

Further opportunities are available after the initial NCAS competition such as internships, scholarships, and CO-OPs.  Several students have accepted internships, scholarships, and/or CO-OPs since SPC initial participation in the program.
