South Plains College releases fall 2021 enrollment numbers

LEVELLAND – South Plains College officials recently announced the fall 2021 enrollment numbers. As of the official 12th day of classes, enrollment across all SPC campuses is 8,908 for fall 2021 – up 0.4 percent or 35 students. The enrollment for fall 2020 was 8,877.

According to Dr. Robin Satterwhite, president of South Plains College, “Considering the fact that many community colleges and regional universities across the state continue to have declines in enrollment, even slight gains in our enrollment is very positive. We have worked very hard to manage the course offerings to match the student demands with an ever-changing balance between online and face-to-face offerings.

“Additionally, we worked very hard to create as much of a “normal” environment for our students, and I believe this has been very helpful to encourage students to re-engage in the higher education experience,” he said. “Our campus is very full, and we are enjoying the return of students in all areas of the campus community.
