Lubbock Regional Multi-Agency Honor Guard Academy concludes Friday

 

LEVELLAND – The participants of the weeklong training for Honor Guards will participate in a mock funeral at Kresridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin St., at 10 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 13). Following the funeral, the participants will proceed to the cemetery.

South Plains College hosted the Lubbock Regional Multi-Agency Honor Guard Academy Class #2 in the Law Enforcement Building.

The academy featured honor guards representing the Levelland Police Department, Hockley County Sheriff’s Office, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Tech Police Department, Stephenville Police Department, Midland Police Department, Lubbock County Fire and Rescue, Lea County, Lovington Police and the New Mexico State Police. Representatives from the Border Patrol, Department of Public Service and Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office served as academy instructors.
