SPC to conduct decommissioning ceremony for Howitzer Canon on Nov. 30

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College will host a special ceremony Tuesday (Nov. 30) at 12:30 p.m.. in the Welding Department to mark the decommissioning of a World War II 75mm Pack Howitzer Canon.

 

The canon will be exhibited at the Silent Wings Museum, 6202 N. I-27 in Lubbock, upon competition of the process. Eddy Grigsby, museum assistant manager, will accept the canon.

 

South Plains College student welders Kaci Trulock, Brandi Hays and Cassandra Garza, all of Lubbock, will complete the demilitarization process.
