SPC to host Law Enforcement Academy Graduation on July 27

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College will host the 2016-2017 Law Enforcement Academy graduation on July 27 (Thursday) at 6 p.m.. in the Sundown Room in the Student Services Building on the Levelland campus. The ceremony will feature 13 graduates. 

The members of the graduating class from Hockley County are Ivan Baeza, Rocio Gameros and Raul Garcia, all of Levelland; and David Moody of Sundown. 

Area graduates are Laura Celestin Garcia, Joel Martinez and Jose Francisco Nieto, all of Plainview; Luis Garcia of Odessa; Dalton Scholz of Lubbock; and Marcos Soto-Valles of Muleshoe. Jonathan Jones of Lakeway also is graduating from the program. 

Out of state graduates are Kaitlyn Rager of Litchfield, Mich., and Rachel Sarkis of Lovington, N.M. 

The 11-month curriculum meets the requirements of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. This includes coursework in law, driving, shooting and other tactical skills. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the state licensure examination to become a Texas Peace Officer.
