South Plains College Theatre to present Madrigal Dinner Nov. 30-Dec. 1

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s Fine Arts and Theatre departments will host a traditional Madrigal Dinner at 6:30 p.m.. from Nov. 30-Dec. 1 in the Sundown Room. The doors will open at 6 p.m.. with the service and show beginning at 6:30 p.m.. 

The cost of tickets is $25 each or a table which seats eight costs $200. Tickets should be purchased in advance by either calling (credit card) 716- 2408 or 716-2409 

The Madrigal Dinner is a Musical Medieval Feast. It is an American form of dinner theater often performed during the Christmas season. It is set in the Middle Ages and is generally comedic in nature. The meal is divided into courses, each of which is heralded with a traditional song. A play is performed between the courses and a concert of choral music concludes the festivities. 

The cast includes Joel Palma, Christina D. Johnson, Justin D. Fraley, Quinton R. Hammonds, Myrah B. Geter, Aaron L. Wilson, Katelynn R. Evans, Abelardo Palma, Jr., Dalynn E. Beck and Makayla L. Gatzki. 

The menu will include spring greens salad, a soup course, a wassail cup, dinner with a choice of Smoked Pork Loin, Marsala Chicken or Eggplant Parmesan, potatoes, a Malibu blend of steamed vegetables, Green Bean Almondine and cake. The menu is subject to change.
