South Plains College Levelland to host nurses pinning on Aug. 9

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College will honor 15 graduates during a pinning ceremony set for 6:30 p.m.. on Aug. 9 (Friday) in the Helen DeVitt Jones Theatre. 

Hockley County graduates include Isabel Diaz, Marilla Padilla, Karina Rivas, Sheyanne Rodriguez and Mayce Vergara, all of Levelland; Kennedy Farr of Smyer; and Sarah Lowrance of Anton. 

Cochran County graduates are Sylvia Castillo of Morton and Shawna Dorsey of Whiteface. 

Others include Lamb County graduate Alex Ayala of Littlefield; and Castro County graduate Ashton Smith of Dimmitt. 

Lubbock County graduates include Alexandria Acevedo, Kirsti Holmes, Quyen Nguyen, and Priscilla Paradez. 

The Pinning Ceremony marks the completion of the vocational nurses training and the eligibility of the graduates to write the National Council Licensing Exam to become licensed vocational nurses.
