South Plains College to host Student Awards Assembly on May 11 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College will recognize more than 100 students at the annual Student Awards Assembly at 7 p.m.. on May 11 (Wednesday) in the Texan Dome.

There is no admission charge, and the public is invited to attend.

"South Plains College seeks to improve each student's life," said Director of Student Life Josh Meredith. "The students being recognized have gone above and beyond in their educational attainments. The faculty and staff at SPC are extremely proud of the award-winners and the example they set for all current and future SPC students. Go Texans!"

The Student Awards Assembly will feature the winners of academic awards chosen by SPC faculty members; SPC Campus Ambassadors; NASA College Aerospace Scholars; Plains to Bridges Award winners; Rising Star Award winner by the STAR Center; recipients of the James and Glenna Cooper Scholarship Awards; and the winner of the Lena Roetig Award. Also, Sophomore students with Highest Honor and Sophomore students with Honors will be recognized.
