South Plains College to host Transfer Summit Day with Texas Tech University

LEVELLAND – Faculty and staff members from South Plains College and Texas Tech University will meet on March 31 for Transfer Summit Day at the SPC Lubbock Downtown Center, located at 1625 13th St. The event is aimed at addressing student transfer issues and finding ways to improve the transfer process for students.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. with a welcome address from institutional leaders, followed by introductions of faculty and staff members from both institutions. Panel discussions will then take place on a variety of topics, including the Texan to Red Raider Agreement, Housing Hot Topics, Scholarship and Financial Aid Discussions, as well as Transfer Advising, among others.

A networking lunch is planned for noon to allow attendees to connect and exchange ideas. The afternoon session will feature a Curriculum Breakout Discussion, which will give attendees the opportunity to discuss specific academic programs and curricula. The day will conclude with tours of the SPC Lubbock Downtown Center, providing attendees with an opportunity to explore the facility and learn more about the resources available.
