South Plains College to offer fall 2019 music, theater classes for youngsters

 

LEVELLAND – South Plains College is providing a variety of classes for youngsters this month. 

The SPC Youth Theater Group is designed for students in grades second through sixth. The classes are organized by age groups. The 45-minute class meets once weekly on Tuesdays and it is the perfect option for youths who want to develop acting techniques, improve public speaking skills and learn more about the world of theater. Amy Bauldoff will be the instructor. 

SPC Group Piano is designed for students ages 8 to 11 who want to learn piano, music literacy and/or develop the ability to play some fun repertoire. Erin Wolff, SPC instructor, will meet with the class for 45 minutes weekly on Mondays. 

SPC Youth Live is a class designed to teach students how to play in a rock/blues/country band. Students must be at least 10 years of age to participate. The class will meet on Tuesdays. The bands will perform in a concert at the end of the fall semester. Brent Wheeler, SPC associate professor of Commercial Music, will be the instructor.
