South Plains College’s total enrollment in Spring 2026 increased by 5 percent from last spring.

On a daily comparison, Spring 2026 enrollment is at 10,260, while Spring 2025 enrollment reached 9,771.

SPC saw a significant increase in the number of dual-credit students enrolled. Current dual-credit enrollment is at 4,959, while Spring 2025 dual-credit enrollment reached 4,389 (a 13-percent increase). Dual enrollment allows high school students to earn transferable college credits, reducing the time needed to earn a college degree.

“We are excited to see the continued growth in our enrollment,” SPC President Robin Satterwhite said. “Our dual credit students are equally important to our overall student body, and our mission of helping every student succeed is relevant regardless of a student’s place in their academic journey. I am proud of the work that our faculty and staff have done to ensure SPC provides the highest quality of education.”
