South Plains College’s Creative Arts Department will offer its Youth Live Ensemble course in Summer 2026 for aspiring musicians ages 10 to 17. Students will have the opportunity to study with SPC Creative Arts faculty members and use professional equipment.

Musicians of any instrument and skill level are welcome to register for the course, which will cover how to play in a band and provide a deeper understanding of bass, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals. Students can register by June 7 on the online SPC Marketplace and will pay a single $85 fee with no additional sign-up costs. Certain musical equipment will be provided.

The course will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday from June 2 to July 7 in the Creative Arts Building on the Levelland campus. The ensemble will perform a closing concert during the last week of the course in the Tom T. Hall Production Studio.
