Teen songwriters, Cider Wave to perform in SPC concert

LEVELLAND – Students from South Plains College’s summer Songwriting Class will perform in the concert, A Celebration of New Music, alongside the band Cider Wave at 7 p.m. on July 10 at the Tom T. Hall Production Studio in the Creative Arts Building on the Levelland campus.

The concert is free and open to the public. It will feature music written by the songwriting students during their time in the class.

Cider Wave will also perform new music written and composed by guitarist and SPC commercial music instructor, Emily Wheeler. The band also consists of guitarist Brent Wheeler, SPC commercial music professor; vocalist Rachel Ure, Flatland Dance choreographer; bassist Mark Frandsen, SPC music instructor; and drummer Phil Smith, SPC commercial music instructor.
