SPC’s Dane Dewbre named Communicator of the Year in NCMPR District 4

The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations presented the District 4 Communicator of the Year Award to South Plains College marketing leader Dane Dewbre during a conference on Oct. 23 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

Dane DewbreDewbre has served as executive director of SPC’s Marketing and Communications Department for 25 years and has previously served in other leadership roles, marking 29 years of service to the college. He has been a member of NCMPR for nearly 30 years and has previously served as the organization’s District 4 director and 2018-19 president.

The Communicator of the Year Award is presented to an NCMPR member who has demonstrated great leadership in college communications. Dewbre is now eligible for the national award that will be announced during NCMPR’s national conference in March.

“It has been an honor to tell the South Plains College story for so many years,” Dewbre said. “I am humbled to be honored by my colleagues in NCMPR. This organization has meant a lot to me in my career.”
