SPC recognizes 2025 Employee Excellence Award winners

LEVELLAND – South Plains College honored three non-faculty employees with an Employee Excellence Award at its annual Employee Banquet on May 8.

The Employee Excellence Award recognizes and honors non-faculty employees who have demonstrated exemplary, student-focused service to the college that makes a difference in achieving institutional goals and objectives. Employees are nominated for the award by other employees and are recommended for the award by a selection committee comprised of previous recipients.

Employee Excellence

The following are the recipients of the 2025 Employee Excellence Award:

  • Kevin Nowell, irrigation specialist, received the Employee Excellence Award for Maintenance and Student Housing Personnel. (center)
  • Oralia Smith, administrative assistant for Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, received the Employee Excellence Award for Classified Personnel. (right)
  • Juli Wood, associate director of Advising and Testing, received the Employee Excellence Award for Support Services Personnel. (left)
