South Plains College earns 2020 Medallion Marketing Awards

LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s Marketing and Recruitment staff  members recently earned three 2020 Medallion Awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 4 Conference. The awards were announced during a virtual awards ceremony.

South Plains College won the Gold Medallion Award for its Computer-Generated Illustration entry; a Bronze Medallion Award for its Successful Recruitment or Marketing Program entry “A Senior Sneak Preview;” and a Bronze Medallion Award for Interior Signage/Displays entry “SPC Practices the Texan Two Step.” The district Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in two-year college marketing and public relations.

“I’m really proud of how our staff came together to build creative messaging during this unique time,” said Dane Dewbre, associate dean of marketing and recruitment. “Not all Covid messaging has to be blunt or direct. I thought it was important for our messaging to be comforting during this time, and we had a little fun with it too. This staff really came through with that and it great to be recognized by NCMPR for it.”
