South Plains College crowns Miss Caprock 2021 in Scholarship Pageant

LEVELLAND – Adamari Calderon of Levelland was crowned Miss Caprock 2021 on Thursday (Nov. 18) during the 63rd Annual Miss Caprock Scholarship Pageant at South Plains College. The pageant was held in the Tom T. Hall Studio.

Calderon, 19, is a sophomore Psychology major. She is the daughter of Jose Calderon and Deanne Calderon. She represented the SPC Campus Ambassadors. She received a $750 scholarship along with the crown and sash.

First runner up was Vanity Moreno, 16, a freshman Nursing major from Brownfield. She is the daughter of Shatel and Mac Moreno. She represented the Star Center Student Organization. She received a $500 scholarship.

The Miss Caprock court also included Dayley Mosley, Milagros Zorola and Aurora Garcia.

Mosley, 19, is a sophomore Business Administration major from Whiteface. She is the daughter of Steve and Julie Mosley. She represented Baptist Student Ministry.  

Zorola, 19, is a freshman Cosmetology major from Gail. She represented Catholic Student Ministry. She is the daughter of Jose Zorola III and Maria Zorola.

Garcia, 20, is a sophomore Social Work major from Plainview. She is the daughter of Rodney and Aurora Garcia. She represented 6th man. 

Tania Moody, Mainstreet Manager, served as the Mistress of Ceremonies. John Hibbard, Creative Arts student, provided the musical entertainment. Lexi Olivo served as Miss Junior Caprock.
