SPC ADN program reports 100-percent NCLEX pass rate for 2023

LEVELLAND – South Plains College’s nationally accredited Associate Degree Nursing (Registered Nurse) program reported its December 2023 graduating class of 45 students achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). The program consistently has a 90-percent or greater employment rate.

Graduates in the program earn their ADN in four semesters. Upon successful completion of the courses, they are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX.

A new curriculum has been implemented, so only three prerequisites are required to start the application process and be considered for the program. Small class sizes also entice students from around the state to choose SPC’s ADN program, which provides the opportunity to complete clinical rotations at major hospitals in Lubbock.

SPC also has articulation agreements with major universities for students who want to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
