• An Introduction to the concepts which provide a foundation for continued study of geography.  Includes the different elements of natural environment as related to human activities, modes of living, and map concepts.

• A Study of major world regions with emphasis on prevailing conditions and developments, including emerging conditions and trends, and the awareness of diversity of ideas and practices to be found in those regions.  Course content may include one or more regions.

BIOL 1411

• Fundamental biological concepts relevant to plant physiology, life cycle, growth and development, structure and function, and cellular and molecular metabolism. The role of plants in the environment, evolution, and phylogeny of major plant groups, algae, and fungi.

ARTS 1301

• A general introduction to the visual arts designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. Students will critically interpret and evaluate works of art within formal, cultural, and historical contexts.  This course is not intended for Art Majors.

ARTS 2289

• This course is designed to integrate classroom study with practical, hands-on experience. Students will set specific goals in studio art projects and preparation of portfolios.  May be repeated 1 time for credit.
