DTA. Evaluations-Administrators and Supervisors

PURPOSE

The purpose of evaluating administrative and professional non-faculty staff is to provide adequate information to improve performance in decision-making, organization, leadership, planning, efficiency, and personal relations.

 

FREQUENCY

The administrators and professional non-faculty shall be evaluated annually.

 

WHO SHALL BE EVALUATED

Administrative and professional non-faculty staff to be evaluated shall be: Vice Presidents, Deans, Associate Deans, Directors, Departmental Chairpersons, Para-professionals and Supervisors of Personnel.

 

DATE TO BE EVALUATED

Administrative and professional non-faculty staff employee shall be evaluated by their supervisor prior to April 30 each year.

 

WHO EVALUATES

Administrative and professional non-faculty staff shall be evaluated by their supervisor. One or both of the following groups may be surveyed, in addition to the formal evaluation, if they so choose.

a. Immediate subordinates.
b. Those served by that office.

 

PROCESS

The Office of Human Resources will provide the evaluating supervisor a listing of employees to be evaluated and a copy of each job description in January of each year. The completed evaluation along with any suggested changes to the job description should be returned to the Office of Human Resources no later than March 1 of each year. Completed evaluation forms will be maintained in the employee personnel file in the Office of Human Resources. The evaluation form is available at the following link.
